Bandhas are yogic energy locks. In ancient yoga, engaging the bandhas is thought to contain and cleanse our energy to help maintain strength and composure. In Western exercise, we use the physical equivalent of these three bandhas to improve posture. Join me for a full-body yoga flow, themed around the bandhas for posture and core stability.
Mula Bandha – pull up on the pelvic floor
Uddiyana Bandha – draw the navel towards the spine
Jalandhara Bandha – tuck the chin to the chest, lengthening the back of the neck
